At the 2008 Honda Classic, the Big Easy ended with a come-from-behind win using his Odyssey® Prototype White Hot XG® #5. Amazingly, he wasn't the only player on the leader board playing an Odyssey putter. In fact, the second place finisher had a White Hot XG® #7 in his bag and the third place finisher a Black Series i – a brand new putter released in January, featuring precision-crafted, multi-material construction with the new, firmer Tour insert.
Faced with one of the toughest events of the season, Ernie posted a 3-under 67 early and then watched as player after player signed their scorecards, unable to match his score. By Sunday afternoon he had earned $990,000, and moved into third place in the FedEx standings.
