Robert Damron Wins Playoff at Athens Regional

Making putt after putt with his Rossa Daytona and TaylorMade TP Black ball, TaylorMade Staffer Robert Damron surged his way to the top of the leaderboard to force a playoff on the final day of the Athens Regional Foundation Classic. Starting the day five shots back, Damron got off to a hot start, making five birdies in a 6-hole stretch to make the turn at 10-under. He then rolled in a 20-footer at hole 11 to go 11-under and enter a playoff with fellow TaylorMade Staffer Greg Owen.

The playoff wouldn't last long though, as Damron holed out from the fringe and captured his 1st victory since the 2001 Verizon Byron Nelson Classic. He finished the final round with a bogey-free 66, his lowest score of the four days, and T5 in Birdies with 19.
